The Big Question: Ivory Wedding Dress And White Tuxedo Shirts?

You’ve got the dress: Check. It’s dreamy, perfect and gorgeous — but you’re worried that the ivory color won’t match his white shirt! Do the guys have to coordinate with ivory tuxedo shirts too? No. More often than not, white is the way to go for the groom regardless of what color the bride is wearing. An off-white shirt has the potential to look, well, dirty. If I’ve suddenly alarmed you by bringing up something else to consider in the wedding planning process, don’t stress. Besides, if this is all you have to worry about then you’re doing great!

When it comes to deciding on a white or ivory gown, the truth is, pure white isn’t all that flattering on most women — it looks best on woman with darker skin tones. If you like the ivory option, then you should wear it! Your groom will look great too in the shade best suited for him too and no one will even think twice about your white vs. ivory predicament. Your guests will be staring at how fierce you both look (just like the models above!).
